Hi all !....I'm back from Cairo and my Dancers Dream Tour to Egypt and have set up for my next LV mini-workshop series.
Nov. 8, 2009 ......
I am presenting a day of dance education in Egyptian Saidi and Tabla
This more folk and traditional style of dance is great for solo second performances and group tableus.
Many of the movements can be stylized to fit also with Raks Sharqi and Raks Beledi for complete use of the movements.
The music has beautiful heavy beats to move your heart. This class will not be using the cane or zills but focus on dance technique and progression of movement with the music.
The talented Sacha will be joining me and teaching a hot tabla solo that goes with the saidi. Again the music is strong and playful.
Both pieces will be available for purchase in a performance format.
Costumes and other music will be available for sale also.
Class size is limited so register early to insure your spot .
