Every year it gets better and 2008 is going to be the best yet, with a new venue and even more topics and teachers. There really is something for every level of dancer. This was my first Intensive and I had a blast. My fellow dancers were super nice and the workshops were amazing. I was also a volunteer and that went smooth as well. I am going to the 6th annual for sure. - Shalini , posted 10/23/07 |

2007 was an excellent year for an excellent event! September 7th, 8th and 9th were both a fun filled and exciting weekend! We began the weekend with an intensive double Suhaila workshop that culminated that evening with a major theater production "A Night in the City of Riches" with the amazing Suhaila Salimpour and some of the best performers of Raks Sharqi. The rest of the weekend was spent on full all day workshops ranging from beginner level to professional. We also included an incredible Saturday Showcase with some of the most amazing performances both local and from out of state and then finished up the weekend with a fabulous Drummer's and Shakers evening on Sunday!
