Billy the kid baggins
I used to love cosmosis, i still do but his goa style of melodic trance has not really scratched me where i itch these days. Don't get me wrong this is a great album well produced and really funky, but i think this style is one that has escaped me. when i bought the album i was so excited.... i whacked it in the cdj and found that the hype far exceeded what i wanted from it. These days i'm more into progressive and the progressive-full on hybrids, Billy will always draw a crowd and live he is undeniable.....

Overall this is a great album for full on trance lovers. . . . . . . . . . but personally i was a bit disappointed - Raoul , posted 01/09/08

Excellent Full-On Psytrance!!!
I've been getting alot of psytrance lately. Some of it can be pretty pretentious. Like any type of music you get anywhere, there are artist albums that feature one or two decent songs. There are tracks that rock your world and some that are just bland and tasteless. Especially with psytrance becoming so popular in the United States, many artist seem to try overtly hard to please many individuals. Rather than program their sound to a particular target group, they try to be "diverse" and implement elements that have been tried, tested and true to many.

Cosmosis does well to stick with what they do best. Make trippy psychedelic trance. There are plenty of tracks from various movies and television shows and plenty of synth stabs. A sound that has become significant with full-on styles. A highlight track is Dance of the Cosmic Serpent where the track builds up to an apex then back down to earth. Life Between Lives (The Other Side) is a great track that brings you back to the early days of Goa.

Overall the album maintains it's integrity with plenty of psytrance trippiness. It is almost reminiscent of the pre-millennial days of Goa Trance and older Astral Projection tracks. If you're into full-on psytrance and older style goa trance, this album is one to pick up.
