Formerly attracting hipsters and the indie crowd at the Artisan hotel under the name Room 26, Rawkers in its second month at Pounders. An ecclectic mix of indie-rock, post-punk, electro-clash, 80s and techno, music and good times are everything. A wonderful jumble of the best kinds of people in Vegas, each week there are more and more people. New DJs are often welcome to join the regular line-up, sometimes even on the spot if they show up with their own records. Resident DJs Aurajin (formerly known as Sebastian), Jared Nichols and Johnny Rox are working hard to create a regular, comfortable scene for locals on a Saturday night. Host Kim Wilson is always open to ideas and suggestions. The group is looking to add live bands to the line-up for a nice treat every few weeks. Give-aways and drink specials. Rawkerz goes on each and every Saturday night, located at Pounders on Sahara, just west of the Strip. There is no cover charge and drinks are very reasonable. - Unsubscribed , posted 03/14/05 |
